Due to public health concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art has announced it will be temporarily closed to the public beginning Sunday.
"Our top priority at OKCMOA is always the health and safety of our staff and visitors," reads a statement from the museum issued Saturday.
Beginning Sunday, the museum, Museum Cafe and Museum Store all will be temporarily closed.
The museum had previously announced that its Sonic Free Family Day (originally planned for Sunday) and Love’s Third Thursday: Murder Mystery Night (March 19) had been postponed.
The museum's Bubbles + Blooms (March 24), Sustainer Event (March 25), and upcoming March film screenings now have all been postponed, too.
Patrons who have already reserved tickets for postponed events should expect the museum to be in touch soon with more information, according to the news release.
The museum is planning to resume normal operations on April 1, "but this could change based on recommendations from public health officials."
"We will be deep cleaning the facility during this closure to ensure we are ready for visitors when it is safe to reopen our doors," according to the museum's statement.
"We look forward to welcoming you back to the Museum soon."
