Michael Buble has postponed several upcoming spring dates on his successful “An Evening With Michael Bublé Tour,” including a scheduled April 3 show at Chesapeake Energy Arena, 100 W Reno.

The postponement comes as concerns grow over the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus that the World Health Organization Wednesday designated a global pandemic.

“I was looking forward to getting back on the road but the safety of my fans and my touring family of course take priority under the current circumstances. We will be coming back soon with new dates and everyone will be safe to enjoy a great night out.  Stay well everyone,” Buble said in a statement.

As previously reported, the crooner announced last fall 27 new North American tour dates that were to begin Tuesday in Jacksonville, Florida, and continue with stops in Boston, San Francisco, Las Vegas and several other cities.

According to a news release, the dates scheduled for Tuesday-April 5, including the OKC show, will be postponed, and new dates in the same market will be announced soon.

“Hold on to your tickets and they will be honored for the rescheduled dates that we will be revealing very soon,” said Don Fox, the tour’s national promoter, in a statement.

The dates for Bublé’s shows beginning May 2 in Anaheim, California will
continue as scheduled, according to the news release.
