High school baseball: Bethany's Gray Adams throws no-hitter

Bethany’s Gray Adams put together a stellar performance in his second outing of the 2020 season.

The left-handed junior threw a five inning no-hitter as Bethany bested Anadarko 16-0 at Bethany Athletic Complex on Tuesday night.

Of the 15 outs Adams recorded, 13 came by strikeout.

“Gray was able to throw 3 pitches, fastball, curve, and change for a strike,” Bethany coach Jim Drummond said. “He was very poised on the mound and consistently worked ahead in the count.”

Adams opened the season with a 6 inning 12 strikeout performance in the win over Elk City.

Bethany will step onto the diamond again to battle Putnam City in Bethany at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
