HONORING KRISTIN AND JAKE
Celebration party: Engaged couple Kristin Mosely and Jake Price were honored at a celebration party in the home of Jessica and Stan Bevers. Hostesses for the party are close friends of Jake's parents: Terri Benear, Jessica Bevers, Melinda Cox, Terri Cummings, Libby Denner, Jill Dobbins, Susie Dougherty, Kelly Gentry, Julie Hall, Aimee Harlow, Caroline Hendee, Anne Henderson, Patti Lane, Tracy Martin, Kelly McLain, Camilla Ostrowe, Tracey Saunders and Jill Zwahlen. The couple will be married in August in Austin, Texas.
At the event: The bride’s parents, Lynn and Jerry Mosley, and her sisters and brothers came from Alabama to celebrate. The groom’s parents are Dana and Matt Price.
Balloon boom: Helium-filled balloons were everywhere. Zorba’s catered the dinner. There was a photo booth. Sugar cookies by Cookie Princess were served for dessert.
PI PHIS CONVENE FOR LUNCH
Luncheon: The 24th annual “Gathering of the Angels Luncheon,” hosted by the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Clue and Pi Beta Phi Foundation, was held at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
A look around the room: White balloons framed the doorways and marked the raffle item tables set around the room. Colorful rose and feather-like plants were the centerpieces and gold feathers (depicting feathers from angel wings) were at each lunch place.
Guest speaker: Pi Phi members and their friends listened to a talk by Jill Donovan, author and CEO and founder of Rustic Cuff. Miss Oklahoma and Pi Phi Addison Price was introduced.
Head angels: Merrick Fitzgerald and Kelsey Jennings were co-chairmen. Andrea Jones is Alumnae Club president, and Elizabeth Wilson is Foundation president.
Hoping to win: There were 21 raffle items and five silent auctions. They included such things as dinner for four with Oklahoma City firefighters, a grand tour of a fire station, a ride on a fire truck, a five-night vacation at Carlton Landing, a collection of facials, treatments and Botox; and a handbag and Rustic Cuff bracelets.
SIGNS OF SPRING
Patron party: Members of the Arts Council Oklahoma City were hosts for the annual patron party at SixTwelve in the Paseo Arts District. The event was a thank you event for donors and sponsors who support Arts Council’s programs including the Festival of the Arts, Art Moves, All Access Arts, Opening Night, and Twilight Summer Concert. Kati Christ was the speaker. Thirty people attended.
Next up: The Festival of the Arts is set for April 21st-26th in Oklahoma City. Kaycee Nolting and Randy Cassimus are co-chairmen. Photos with guests and Dean Imel’s sculpture "Regal" were taken. Imel is Festival of the Arts 2020 features artist.
