Proceeds from Mustang High School's Broncos Empowering A Society Together Week, or BEAST Week, will benefit Hearts for Hearing and two Mustang Trails Elementary students battling cancer.

The annual philanthropic event began in 2010 and continues this year from Feb. 28 through March 6.

Money raised by students during this year’s campaign will benefit the families of Ady Isom, a kindergartner, and Cindy Hazen, a first-grader, as well as Hearts For Hearing.

“This is a massive undertaking by Mustang High School’s Student Council (STUCO), our sponsors, participants, and administrators,” said Kathy Knowles, Mustang High School principal. “It is really great to see the Mindset of 'Live To Give' take shape, and students to see how they can impact our community.”

This is the first year school sites districtwide will join Mustang High School's fundraising efforts.

“BEAST week is important to us because it shows how well we come together as a community to help each other out when in need,” STUCO Treasurer Tiffany Bui said.
