OU football: 'Process is ongoing' for suspended Sooners

NORMAN — OU coach Lincoln Riley didn’t have any update on the status of the three suspended Sooners during a press conference Wednesday.

Defensive end Ronnie Perkins, running back Rhamondre Stevenson and wide receiver Trejan Bridges were suspended before the Peach Bowl.

“We’ll get to that at a later date,” Riley said. “The process is ongoing. I don’t have anything further right now.”

The suspensions could last as long as six games, meaning the three players could miss the first five games of the 2020 season — which includes games against Tennessee, Baylor and Texas.
