Factory Obscura to release local music compilation 'Mix-Tape Vol. 1' at Valentine's Day bash tonight
Arts collective Factory Obscura, 25 NW 9, is celebrating the release of its cassette compilation of local musicians at its the Mix-Tape V-Day Bash from 8 to 10:30 tonight at its Automobile Alley home (formerly known as The Womb).
An array of local acts - LCG and the X, stepmom, Bad Jokes, Audio Book Club, Jabee and LTZ and Jarvix and Elecktra - contributed to the “Mix-Tape Vol. 1” cassette collection of songs inspired by the interactive exhibits at Factory Obscura. They will perform during tonight's event, which also will feature spoken word and movement artists.
A limited edition pink beer collaboration with Prairie Artisan Ales will be served up in honor of Valentine's Day, too.
The event is for celebrants 18 and older. Tickets are $15 for Factory Obscura passholders and $20 for general admission.
