Two distinctly different Oklahoma City artists, Kyndall Rainey and Danny Joe Rose III, will display their work in a dual exhibit titled "In the Direction of the Sun" inside the Crystal Bridge Visitor Center at Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 W Reno.

An opening reception is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists, purchase an original piece of art and enjoy complimentary brunch beverages, according to a news release.

Rainey is a mixed-media artist who studied at the Kansas City Art Institute before completing her degree in art education at the University of Central Oklahoma. Currently, she teaches middle school art at Crossings Christian School and showcases her artwork in various galleries and festivals. Much of Rainey’s work focuses on nature, conservation and personal identity. Using recycled materials and various paint media, she creates textured landscapes with a perspective that draws the viewer in.
