Advertising club accepting nominations for honors
Advertising club Ad 2 OKC has opened nominations for the 2020 Young Advertising Professional of the Year. The award is designed to recognize young men and women who make extraordinary contributions to the central Oklahoma advertising and communications industry.
Candidates must be 21-35 years old; living and working in central Oklahoma; employed in an advertising, marketing or communications-related field; contributing to the advancement of the advertising industry in Oklahoma City
“The YAPY award is a great way to honor young professionals who are doing their part in the Oklahoma City community and within the communications industry,” Ad 2 OKC President Ashley Glass said. “Past honorees include professionals from top agencies and organizations in Oklahoma such as Ackerman McQueen, Freestyle Creative, Rose State College and more.”
The deadline for nominations is March 15. Applications can be made at ad2okc.com/about/yapy.
Matrix to continue share buybacks
Matrix Service Co. announced Wednesday it intends to continue its stock repurchase program.
During the three months that ended Dec. 31, the company acquired 500,000 shares of common stock for a total of $9.9 million
“Our decision to continue our repurchase program is indicative of the strength of the company’s opportunity pipeline and the progress we expect to make to enhance our operating performance across the enterprise,” CEO John R. Hewitt said.
“Given our healthy liquidity profile and our outlook on the business compared to the current stock price, we believe share repurchases is a prudent use of our financial resources and the appropriate mechanism to return value to our shareholders at this time.”
