High school girls basketball: Duke's Rick Wilson achieves 900 wins and Rocky Clarke is closing in

Rick Wilson joined an elite group of coaches and Rocky Clarke could be following him this week.

Duke coach Rick Wilson became the third Oklahoma girls basketball coach with 900 career wins as the Tigers topped Mountain View-Gotebo, 42-21, on Monday. Wilson joined Byng coach Bertha Teague and Barnsdall coach Joe Gilbert in Duke’s final regular-season game of the 2019-2020 season.

One year behind Wilson in coaching years, Washington coach Rocky Clarke has a chance to join him against Davis on Thursday.

Clarke has been coaching for 41 years. After coaching at seven different schools, Clarke has spent the past 20 years at Washington.
