High school girls basketball: Christian Heritage's Rylee Langerman surpasses 1,500 points

Rylee Langerman accomplishes another milestone in her basketball career.

After joining the 1,000-point club in the state semifinals nearly one year ago, The Christian Heritage Academy Crusader surpassed 1,500 career points with a 23-point performance in the win over Oklahoma Christian School Friday night at Jim Elliot Memorial Gymnasium.

“None of it would be possible without my teammates and coaches,” Langerman said. “God has blessed me with the best team. I’m so thankful to get to play with them and to have accomplished this on our senior night.”

The 5-foot-10 senior is averaging 22.2 points per game as she tries to lead 3A No. 7 Christian Heritage (14-7) to their fourth-straight appearance in the state tournament. Christian Heritage won the 2A title in 2017 and 2018 and was the 3A state runner-up last season.

Langerman, the two-time state champion, signed with Arkansas last November.
