OU, OKC metro schools close for winter weather

Oklahoma City Public Schools, the state's largest school district, has canceled classes Wednesday because of predicted winter weather.

Norman Public Schools, Edmond Public Schools, Mid-Del Public Schools, Moore Public Schools, Putnam City schools and the University of Oklahoma's Norman campus also will close Wednesday.

The entirety of the Oklahoma City metro area is under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. Wednesday. The National Weather Service forecast 4 to 6 inches of snow for Oklahoma County.
