High school boys basketball: Bijan Cortes records triple-double, Kingfisher routs Dale

Bijan Cortes continues to flourish for Kingfisher.

The junior point guard recorded a triple-double Friday in the Yellowjackets’ 69-33 win at Class 2A No. 2-ranked Dale. Cortes went 5 of 7 from 3-point range and finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. 

With the win, Class 4A No. 1 Kingfisher improved to 17-0, while Dale fell to 13-6.  

Cortes committed to Oklahoma on Sunday. He chose the Sooners over offers from Oklahoma State, TCU and Oral Roberts, among others.

Kingfisher will play at Class 4A No. 9 Bethany (12-4) at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
