OSU-Texas football game moved to Friday after Thanksgiving

STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State football team’s regular-season finale will be a Friday game.

The Big 12 announced that two games on the final weekend of the regular season have been moved to Friday, Nov. 27, which is the day after Thanksgiving.

One of those games was OSU vs. Texas at Boone Pickens Stadium, along with West Virginia at Iowa State.

The OSU-Texas game could be significant in the race for the Big 12 championship game, which is set for Dec. 5 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Both OSU and Texas already have garnered significant preseason attention, based on the key players each team has returning.

Kickoff time for the game will be announced in mid-November, though the television networks are required to submit their selections for the first three weeks of the season and all non-Saturday games to the Big 12 office by June 1.
