Murray returning to OU to coach running backs

DeMarco Murray is returning to Norman to join Lincoln Riley's staff as the Sooners' running backs coach, 247Sports reported Sunday.

Murray coached running backs for the Arizona Wildcats last year. The former Oklahoma running back spent seven seasons in the NFL, rushing for 7,174 yards and 49 touchdowns.

Murray ranks seventh on OU's career rushing list with 3,685 yards and 50 touchdowns.

OSU wrestling overpowers Iowa State

Oklahoma State's eighth-ranked wrestling team downed 16th-ranked Iowa State, 23-9, on Sunday inside Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.

Reece Witcraft and Joe Smith collected upset wins for Oklahoma State as the Cowboys won seven of the 10 bouts.

OSU (8-2, 4-1 Big 12) lost its first conference dual of the season on Friday night, 19-15, at No. 20 Northern Iowa.

OU Wrestling: The Sooners (3-4l, 1-3 Big 12) dropped a 23-16 dual decision to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (7-4, 4-2 Big 12) on Sunday at Frost Arena in Brookings, Souh Dakota. The Sooners won four of the 10 bouts.

OSU Tennis: The No. 10 Oklahoma State women's tennis squad on Sunday dropped the championship match of the ITA Kickoff in Stillwater, 4-3, to No. 25 Ohio State. The win qualified the Buckeyes for the National Indoor Championships.
