OU men's basketball: Bijan Cortes commits to Sooners

Oklahoma basketball got its first commitment for the 2021 class on Sunday.

Kingfisher' Bijan Cortes announced his commitment to the Sooners on Sunday afternoon via Twitter. He thanked his friends, family and Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger for their support and belief in him, tweeting that he is "110% committed" to Oklahoma.

"I would like to say a big thank you to Kingfisher and all the great people in it for always coming out and supporting me," Cortes wrote on Twitter. "I also want to thank all of the Team Griffin staff as they've pushed me to be the best player I can be and for giving me all of these great memories."

A three-star point guard, Cortes is ranked No. 150 in the country and No. 31 at his position according to Rivals. Cortes chose Oklahoma over Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts and TCU, among other schools.
