OSU football: Receiver LC Greenwood enters transfer portal
STILLWATER — With Oklahoma State returning a talented and proven group of starting receivers, the backups are looking for other opportunities to play.
For the third time this month, an OSU receiver has entered the transfer portal, with LC Greenwood announcing his intentions Thursday morning.
“My time here has been amazing and I enjoyed every minute of being a Cowboy,” Greenwood posted on Twitter. “With that being said, I have decided to enter the transfer portal and seek a new place to call home.”
The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Greenwood briefly moved to linebacker last spring in an attempt to find playing time, but returned to receiver in August. By the end of the season, he was one of the primary backups, though he was used sparingly. In six games, he caught three passes.
He joins other Cowboy wideouts Tyrell Alexander and Patrick McKaufman on the transfer portal, but unlike them, Greenwood is not expected to be immediately eligible at another program in the Football Bowl Subdivision. He will be a redshirt junior.
Including the three December signees, OSU has 11 receivers on scholarship, four of whom will be seniors in the fall.
