High school boys basketball: Rickey Hunt leads Millwood past Oklahoma Christian School 75-62

Rickey Hunt fired one 3-pointer after another.

The Millwood freshman got on a roll in the first quarter against Oklahoma Christian School, hitting four shots from beyond the arc.

The impressive play of Hunt and several other players helped Class 3A No. 1-ranked Millwood notch a 75-62 home victory on Tuesday night.

Millwood coach Michael Jeffries knew the sixth-ranked Saints (10-2) presented challenges. He was proud of the way his role players rose to the occasion.

“I knew they were going to be good,” he said. ‘They’re always a tough opponent. They kind of came in, blocking out both of my top guys, Myles (Jeffries) and Isaiah (Williams), and threw us off a little bit.”

Hunt led the Falcons (10-6) with 20 points. Harold Bagby also had a big night, finishing with 13 points.

Millwood trailed by three points entering the fourth and pulled away behind a 13-point quarter from Williams.
