OU softball: Sooners No. 2, Cowgirls No. 9 in Flo Softball preseason rankings

Softball season is just around the corner, and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are coming into the 2020 season with high expectations once again.

The Sooners were ranked No. 2 in FloSoftball's preseason top 25, and the Cowgirls came in at No. 9.

UCLA topped the rankings. The Bruins beat the Sooners in last year's national championship series. Washington, Alabama and Arizona rounded out the rest of the top five.

Texas was the only other Big 12 school to make the list. The Longhorns were ranked No. 7.

Oklahoma opens its season on Feb. 6 against Nevada in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Oklahoma State's first game is Feb. 7 against LSU. The Tigers came in at No. 15 in FloSoftball's rankings.
