Inhofe says wife progressing nicely after mild stroke
Kay Inhofe, the wife of U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, suffered a mild stroke but suffered "no damage" and is "progressing nicely," the senator said Tuesday.
Inhofe, R-Tulsa, left Washington, D.C., last week before the vote on the new trade agreement with Canada and Mexico and before senators were sworn in for the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Inhofe said Tuesday that he left to be with his wife of 60 years after learning of the stroke.
In an interview, Inhofe said Kay "had a mild stroke ... She’s progressing nicely. No damage was done from the stroke."
Kay Inhofe broke her leg in an accident last year, an injury that required hospitalization and months of therapy.
