High school boys basketball: Strong second half helps Edmond North top Norman 62-58
EDMOND – Dalante Shannon approached the 3-point line and quickly bolted to the rim.
The Edmond North junior took a quick step to his left to evade a Norman defender then made a layup with ease.
The basket gave Edmond North a 10-point lead with 1:19 left in a third quarter that was dominated by the Huskies.
Edmond North defeated Norman 62-58 on Friday night.

Norman had a 23-22 lead at halftime, but Edmond North outscored the Tigers by 10 points in the third quarter to pull away for the victory.
“When you hit a couple of shots, you feel good about life,” Edmond North coach Scott Norris said. “Defensively, we got some stops. We were able to get in transition. I think they (Norman) got a little bit tired there in the third quarter.”
Shannon scored all 15 of his points in the second half. Ben Emmert led Norman with 17 points.
