Woman dies after being struck by car in Moore

A Lexington woman died Friday morning in Moore after being struck by a vehicle as she attempted to walk across the southbound lanes of Interstate 35.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Nichole B. Graves, 22, lost control of her vehicle and crashed it into a guardrail as she traveled south on I-35. She then drove back onto the road but veered across all three lanes before hitting the median wall.

Graves then exited her vehicle just south of 12th Street and attempted to walk across the southbound lanes when she was struck by a vehicle.

Graves' condition and cause of the accident are under investigation.
