Krauss achieved mainstream recognition with her contributions to the hit 2000 film soundtrack for "O Brother, Where Art Thou?," and she extended her artistic and commercial reach in 2007 when she recorded the album "Raising Sand" with Robert Plant, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
