Putnam City School Museum to honor four with Lifetime Service awards

Four longtime volunteers will be honored as the 2020 recipients of Lifetime Service Awards presented by the Putnam City Schools Museum.

The 2020 honorees are Sherry Boyd, who has coordinated the district’s Care/Share program that provides school supplies and clothing to needy students; Kathlyn Reynolds, a retired music teacher who founded the districtwide Honors Choir; and Andy and Sharon Beezley, veteran parent volunteers at Lake Park Elementary, Western Oaks Middle and Putnam City West High schools.

The honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the district administration building, NW 40 and Ann Arbor, and in the regular Board of Education meeting immediately after.

The Putnam City Schools Museum at NW 40 and Grove preserves artifacts from all of the district's three high schools, five middle schools and 18 elementary schools, dating back to the district’s founding in 1914. It is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and by arrangement for tours and reunion groups.
