OSU football: Receiver Patrick McKaufman enters transfer portal

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State receiver Patrick McKaufman has entered the NCAA transfer portal, The Oklahoman has confirmed.

McKaufman, from Douglass High School, will be a redshirt senior in the fall. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound receiver played in five games and did not catch a pass. He’s the seventh OSU player to enter the transfer portal since the beginning of the season. His decision was first reported by 247Sports.com.

A quarterback at Douglass, McKaufman went to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M out of high school and transferred to OSU after one season. He redshirted with the Cowboys in 2017, then tore his ACL, causing him to miss the 2018 season.

As a graduate transfer, McKaufman will be immediately eligible wherever he lands. Because of the 2018 injury, he could potentially be eligible for a sixth year, should he choose to pursue it at his next school.
