Mustang High School woodworking students make toys to donate to Good Samaritan Toys
Almost 30 years ago, Glenn Morgan began making wooden toys, funded mostly from his own money, and donating them to children in need through his organization, Good Samaritan Toys.
Good Samaritan Toys has provided hundreds of wooden toys through the years to children throughout Oklahoma, from Peppers Ranch in Guthrie, to The Children's Center in Oklahoma City, to The Community Children's Shelter in Ardmore, the Laura Dester Children's Shelter in Tulsa, and more.
This year, as in several past years, Mustang High School instructor Mike McGarry’s woodworking class joined in the efforts to make wooden toys.
“The kids loved making them,” McGarry said. “I think it makes them feel good that they're doing something positive that's going to benefit people.”
Glenn contacted McGarry several years ago about helping with the toys project.
“It's a wonderful thing,” Morgan said.
