OSU football: Brennan Presley's speed, versatility draw Tyreek Hill comparison

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy has had some chances to get up-close looks at Bixby High School stars Brennan Presley and Jordan Reagan.

Gundy’s son, Gunnar, and Stillwater High lost to Bixby in the Class 6A-II finals the last two seasons, and the teams have crossed paths in summer 7-on-7 competition.

So Gundy has a pretty good idea of the type of talent the Cowboys signed in those two players.

Yet he’s still curious to get Presley on campus to learn more.

“We need to get him in a 40 (yard dash) and time him so we can make a comparison to him and Tyreek (Hill),” Gundy said of the Kansas City Chiefs receiver who starred for OSU in 2014 before being dismissed.

“I’m not saying (Presley is) that fast. Tyreek is a whole different level, but if you think about what they could do, Tyreek can return, Tyreek catches passes, Tyreek can run the ball. That’s the same thing this guy does.

“Bixby did a great job of finding ways to get him the ball, over and over.”

After Bixby’s victory over Stillwater earlier this month, Gundy crossed the field to visit with Presley and Reagan.

“I walked over and hugged ‘em and said, ‘I’m glad y’all are on our team now,’” Gundy said. “They’re quality people. Really good football players.”
