'There's nothing like it': Chris Paul faces two former members of Team CP3 in Thunder comeback

For Chris Paul, the best part of the Thunder’s 109-106 comeback victory against the Bulls Monday wasn’t winning the third quarter. A reporter suggested that, alluding to OKC’s third quarter woes this season.

No, Paul said the best part was playing against Coby White and Wendell Carter Jr.. White, 19, and Carter, 20, both played for Paul-sponsored Team CP3 in the AAU circuit.

“I’ve been knowing them since they were young,” Paul said. “And when they were on the AAU team they used to talk like, ‘Man, I want to play against you.’ So, anytime I get a change to get out there on the court with them, there’s nothing like it.”

The three posed for a picture after the game, an NBA veteran alongside two key pieces of Chicago’s young core.
