OSU football: Chuba Hubbard named AP All-American

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State star running back Chuba Hubbard is closer to becoming a consensus All-American.

Hubbard was named to the first team of the Associated Press All-American team on Monday. He was also named to ESPN’s team.

This follows recognition from Walter Camp, USA Today and Sports Illustrated, among others. To be a consensus All-American, Hubbard must also make one of the American Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association of America or Sporting News teams.

Hubbard is the 11th OSU running back to earn All-America status from the AP. Bob Fenimore, Terry Miller, Ernest Anderson, Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders, Gerald Hudson and Kendall Hunter were also named to the team.
