High school football: 2019 All-District 3A-1 honors announced

Heritage Hall star Phillip Smitherman was named Most Valuable Player of District 3A-1 in the awards that were announced Tuesday.

John Marshall senior Elian Morales and Perkins-Tryon senior Ayron Lawson were named co-Offensive Players of the Year. Heritage Hall's Hardy Bowers and Kingfisher's Riley Myers split Defensive Player of the Year honors. Kingfisher's Clayton Abercrombie  was named Special Teams MVP, and Perkins-Tryon's Bruce Williams was tabbed Coach of the Year.
