Deer Creek junior Terin Ritz won't have to go far from home to play college softball.
Ritz announced her commitment to UCO's softball program on Wednesday. She shared her decision on Twitter. North Texas, Texas Tech and Tulsa were also recruiting Ritz.
Ritz starred during her junior season at the plate and in the circle. She batted .649 and hit 19 home runs with 56 RBIs. She also drew 25 walks and struck out only three times.
In the circle, she was also dominant, pitching 103 innings while compiling a 13-6 record. She had a 2.31 ERA while striking out 73 and walking only 19.
Ritz was named the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference's Player of the Year.
