High school football: Tulsa Washington's JJ Hester reopens recruitment, remains committed to Missouri

Tulsa Booker T. Washington star wide receiver JJ Hester has reopened his recruitment.

Hester, who remains committed to Missouri, announced Sunday that he was reopening his recruitment amid the coaching changes at Missouri. The Tigers fired head coach Barry Odom on Saturday after four seasons.

Hester committed to Missouri on Sept. 5 over offers from Georgia, Nebraska and Texas. Since he reopened his recruitment, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound receiver has received scholarship offers from UCLA and Washington State.

Hester is No. 2 in The Oklahoman's Super 30 rankings for the state's top college recruits in the 2020 class. He also holds offers from Baylor, Michigan and Oklahoma, among many others.
