The annual tree lighting ceremony at Will Rogers Gardens, 3400 NW 36, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1.

The free, family-friendly event is presented by OKC Parks and the Friends of Will Rogers Gardens Foundation.

There will be children's craft activities in the Garden Exposition Center, live music in the Ed Lycan Conservatory, horse-drawn sleigh rides with the Santa Fe Carriage Co. on Pat Murphy Drive, high school choirs singing, and Junction Coffee is coming.

It's an "opportunity to meet with the clubs and organizations that call Will Rogers Gardens home," organizers said. "Learn more about the exciting upcoming projects — building both a Memory Garden and a Sensory Garden. The Oklahoma City Community Foundation will be on hand to present a grant awarded for the start of the Memory Garden."
