High school football: OSSAA allowing veterans, one guest free admission to first-round playoff games Friday

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association announced Monday it is allowing veterans and one guest free admission to all first-round playoff football games on Friday.

Veterans will be admitted by showing their driver's license, which has the seal indicating that person is a veteran. If the individual has not renewed their license in the last couple of years, a veteran ID card or any proof of identification is acceptable, the release said.

"It is our intention to encourage Oklahoma high schools to recognize veterans in conjunction with any school activities in the next couple of weeks. This is a great way to recognize those who have served our country and reinforce the importance of their sacrifices and the very meaning of Veterans Day," the OSSAA said in the release.

General admission for those without an OSSAA playoff pass for football games is $7.
