High school football: Edmond Memorial picks up first win of season against Enid

Edmond Memorial was able to put everything together against Enid.

The Bulldogs played well offensively and got a strong defensive effort in its 35-0 victory against Enid, their first win of the season.

"We've played pretty good at some moments this year," coach Luke Orvis said. "We fought some really good teams, but we just haven't gotten over that hump. To watch them get over the hump and see the kids be rewarded for all the work they put it was great. We really needed it."

Orvis said defensive end Carson Mullins and fullback Mason Williams have been pivotal pieces to Memorial's team. He's hoping to continue building momentum the remainder of the season.

The Bulldogs (1-7, 1-4 District 6A-I-1) finish their season with trips to Broken Arrow and Yukon.
