CROWNS AND COCKTAILS
Party: Connell Branan and Margo Ward were hostesses for a cocktail party called “Crowns and Cocktails” honoring former chairmen of the Beaux Arts Ball and wives of former kings of the Beaux Arts Ball. Branan was 2009 chairman and Ward is this year’s chairman for the ball, which is Nov. 30 at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
Royal treatment: Jeweled crowns decorated the tables and Kyle Anderson catered a light supper.

BEAUX AND BOURBON
Party: Spouses of the current Beaux Arts Ball committee members met at Harper Ward’s home recently. His wife, Margo, is chairman of the ball. Theme for the party was "Beaux and Bourbon."
Three parties: At the same time, the former kings and former chairmen of the ball and wives of the former kings met in different locations. All three parties were cocktail get-togethers.
WINE & FOOD FESTIVAL
Vital mission: Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation members were hosts for 400 sponsors and guests at the Wine & Food Festival at OMRF. The annual 241 event (two events for one cause) consisted of a wine festival and concert by Asleep at the Wheel. The next day, there was a golf tournament at Oak Tree Golf & Country Club. They raised $675,000 for medical research.
Chairmen: Kim and David Rainbolt were co-chairmen and Leslie and Cliff Hudson were sponsor co-chairmen.
HONORING JANE
Banquet in Seminole: The Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum of Seminole’s annual tribute awards banquet was held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and 350 guests attended. The event honored Jane Jayroe Gamble for her efforts in striving the “make the world a better place.” Four other individuals and companies, all with Seminole connections, were recognized for their contributions to the museum.
Honorees: Jane Jayroe Gamble, Oklahoma City; Reggie Whitten, Oklahoma Custom Coating and Enviro Systems; and the late Bob Jones received awards. Barbara Jones and Gena Forgety accepted the award in Bob Jones’ behalf.
On the program: Marci Donaho, museum president and CEO; Melvin Moran, museum co-founder; Bob Burke, Linda Cavanaugh, Susan and Mike Turpen and James Utterback. George Nigh was master of ceremonies.
MISTLETOE MARKET EXTRA!
Event: Mistletoe Market at the Cox Convention Center begins Nov. 8 and runs through Nov. 10. The Preview Party is Nov. 7. There will be 108 merchants at the market selling everything from jewelry, wrapping paper, clothes and shoes to holiday decorations, food items and children’s items.
Early preview: Mandy Heaps and Whitney Pence talked about Mistletoe Market on Parties Extra! They discussed the special events during the weekend, including a Santa Claus appearance, and a Gingerbread Bash. There will also be school choirs and dance groups, and a Christmas painting workshop during market.
