AMES, Iowa — Former Norman North star tight end Charlie Kolar was nearly a one-man wrecking crew.

During Oklahoma State’s 34-27 upset of No. 23 Iowa State on Saturday, Kolar proved to be a handful as he caught eight passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.

He got the Cyclones’ offense going early, too. He caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brock Purdy to tie the game at 7. It was Kolar’s fifth touchdown this season.

Former Jones receiver Sean Shaw Jr. also caught one pass for 7 yards, though he nearly had a touchdown reception. OSU safety Kolby Harvell-Peel delivered a punishing blow to break up the play.
