Boys Ranch Town's Christmas pageant is holiday tradition

EDMOND — The first Christmas and other scenes throughout the life of Jesus are portrayed each year by youths at Boys Ranch Town.The Boys Ranch Town Drive-Thru Christmas Pageant has become a holiday tradition over the years.

The free event will be 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6-8 at 5100 E 33rd St.The ranch town residents and the children of staff members offer a living Nativity, plus many other scenes depicting the life of Jesus Christ. This includes His death and resurrection.Animals such as camels, sheep and a donkey are included in the scenes alongside the boys from the ranch. The animals are raised by the boys at the ranch.Ranch town leaders said the Christmas pageant is free because it is the organization's gift to the community. However, visitors who wish to leave a donation, may do so before they exit the popular holiday event.

A similar event, the Owasso Drive-Thru Christmas Pageant, will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 6-8 at 12700 E 76th St. North in Owasso. The free event is coordinated by the Baptist Children's Home in Owasso.
