Minco (6-0, 3-0 District A-3) beat Watonga (3-2, 1-2) 39-12 Friday night in a game that saw strong performances on all three sides of the ball for the Bulldogs.

Coach Brock Wardlaw said his team was relying on its defense the first half of the season, but lately the offense has started to find its rhythm. Minco is starting to deliver strong performances on all sides of the ball.

“We were kind of relying on our defense … and our defense was getting us some wins,” Wardlaw said. “And now our offense is getting rolling a little bit.”

Minco had 351 yards of total offense and ran a kickoff back for a touchdown in the win.

Minco is getting better week by week, Wardlaw said. The team will look to continue improving when it takes on Apache (3-2, 2-0 District A-4) Oct. 11.
