High school football: Noble relying on strong attack from Ezra Elkins, Austin Fisher
In one of Class 5A's toughest districts, Noble has started its slate strong.
The Bears toppled Duncan 38-27 on Friday to move to 3-1. They have been strong offensively, relying on running back Ezra Elkins and quarterback Austin Fisher to carry the load.
Against Duncan, Elkins rushed 34 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Fisher added 100 yards and a score on 19 carries while completing 13-of-20 passes for 146 yards and one score.
Noble coach Greg George said he's proud of how his team and stars have started this season, but he knows every week will be a unique challenge.

"We're right where we need to be," George said. "Our biggest deal is we've got to understand that it's one game at a time. It was a big one last week, but we've got another big one this week, too."
Noble travels to No. 4 El Reno (4-0, 1-0) on Friday.
