High school football: Seminole coach Mike Snyder ties all-time wins mark
SEMINOLE – Mike Snyder will always be a part of Oklahoma high school football history.
Seminole's longtime football coach, who's in his 40th season this year, won his 363rd game in a 35-8 victory against Roland on Friday night. That ties him on the Oklahoma 11-man all-time wins list with Bruce Hendrickson, who most recently coach at Seiling.
"It's a huge honor to be in this situation," Snyder said. "This is a profession that I love. The Oklahoma Coaches Association is an organization that I love and means so much to me. To be able to be a part of all of this for 48 years all together means a lot because of those relationships you build over those years."
Seminole is 3-1 this season and travels to play Class 3A No. 2 Lincoln Christian (4-0, 1-0 District 3A-3) on Friday. Following that matchup, the Chieftains host Idabel (3-1, 1-0) then travel to Stigler (3-1, 0-1) the following week.
