High school softball: Newcastle’s Wagoner throws 4 no-hitters in last 5 games

McKenzie Wagoner is on a roll.

The Newcastle star pitcher has thrown four no-hitters in the Racers' last five games. She has allowed just one hit during that span. She gave up a blooper in a win over Tulsa Union.

"She’s getting it done,” Newcastle coach Mike Crossley said.

Wagoner, who is committed to Liberty, had a similar stretch as a junior last year when she tossed four straight no-hitters. Her only loss of the season was in the Class 4A state title game against Tuttle.

Newcastle is scheduled to host Amber-Pocasset on Thursday.
