Sunday Morning: Sept. 1, 2019, Helen Ford Wallace
Event: Wsky, Q & Blues featured party lights over the courtyard at DC on Film Row, a barbecued pig, and whiskey tastings, craft cocktails, wine and craft beer. Live blues music was by Justin Echols & The Papa Midnite Blues Band. There also were live and silent auctions. One auction item was a Rolex watch.
Hosts: Mark Mann and Marc Brockhaus were hosts for the party, which benefited Classen School of Advanced Studies.
Heritage Hall hospitality
Welcome dinner: New patrons to Heritage Hall were honored at a welcome dinner in the Upper School Reynolds Commons. HH Headmaster Guy Bramble was host.
The program: Following welcome presentations by Bramble, Trustee Janet McLain, and Admission Director Elizabeth Gillum, dinner was catered by Venue 104. A celebratory toast was given by Assistant Head of School Nick Carter. Upper School Music Director David Hillis provided musical entertainment during the evening.
On the Ball
Dinner: Geetika Verma, Amit Gumman and Bhupinder Obhral were hosts for a dinner with Maestro Alexander Mickelthwate at the Rose Creek Country Club. Indian food, music and dancers were featured as the Sept. 19th Maestro’s Ball theme is “Silks and Sarees.”

Occasion: The Redbud Classic board of directors met for new board member orientation at the Renaissance Waterford Hotel.
New board: The 2019/2020 board of directors are Drew Cunningham, Matt Farley, Dan Molina, Jordan Cole, Lindsay Watson, Sandy Winkelmann, Jed Ferguson, Craig Parker, Kyle Springer, Kyle Hubble, Nathan Elliot, Pat Lewis, Ryan Welton, Sean Mossman, Quint Anderson, Sara Sweet, Megan Barnes, Covenant Idell, Kelly Lawson, Rachel Uranek, Stephanie Turner, Angela Brooks, Colt Kennemer, Bailey Benham and Sohrab Bassiri. The board is made up of professionals from a variety of sectors, including energy, law, marketing and accounting. The executive board includes Nathan Elliot, Jordan Cole, Lindsay Watson, Craig Parker and Sara Sweet.
2020: The Redbud Classic will celebrate its 38th year with biking, running and walking events. The event will be April 4-5, 2020.
