OSU men's golf: Cowboys hold off SMU to advance to NCAA semifinals
Top-seeded Oklahoma State defeated No. 8 SMU 4-1 in match play Tuesday to advance to the NCAA men's golf semifinals at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Cowboys will face No. 5 Texas in the Tuesday afternoon semifinals with a spot in Wednesday morning's championship on the line.
The Longhorns denied a Bedlam semifinal by edging No. 4 Oklahoma 3-2. Brad Dalke and Quade Cummins earned OU's wins.
Viktor Hovland, NCAA champion Matthew Wolff, Hayden Wood and Austin Eckroat each won their head-to-head matchups for OSU.
In the other quarterfinals, No. 2 Vanderbilt defeated No. 7 Texas A&M 3-2 and No. 6 Stanford defeated No. 3 Wake Forest 3-2.
