Two St. Patrick's Day parades slated for Saturday
Looking for a St. Patrick's Day parade in Oklahoma City? Take your pick.
Two parades are scheduled for Saturday (St. Patrick's Day is officially on Sunday).
Hosted by the O'klahoma Irish Heritage Association, a parade is slated for 10 a.m. in Stockyards City, where you can expect to see bagpipes and longhorns as this celebration mixes Irish and Western heritage.
Also at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the “O’City St. Patrick’s Day Parade” will travel along Walker Ave. in downtown Oklahoma City.
The O'city parade route is a change from last year when it was located in Bricktown. The Oklahoman's Steve Lackmeyer recently wrote about the parade relocation, which is because of the new downtown streetcar lines.
