Target launches new lingerie brands
Watch out Victoria’s Secret. Target is doing its best to entice your customers.
Target has launched Auden, a new bra and underwear collection for women and teenage girls. Bras cost $22 and less and come in a range of sizes. The marketing campaign features women of different shapes and sizes. And to help women find that perfect fit, Target will offer an online “find your fit” tool.
Victoria’s Secret is still a powerhouse, but its appeal is waning a little. Customers seem to be tiring of the sexy supermodel images. Fewer television viewers tune in to its annual flashy runway show. The company has lost 3.8 million customers over the two past years to rivals like Amazon and Aerie, according to an estimate from Neil Saunders, analyst at GlobalData Retail.
All that just opens a door for Target, which is also launching Colsie, a brand for teens that’s said to rival Victoria’s Secret Pink, and Stars Above, a pajama brand.
