Wedding shower: Kiley Bush and Mark Adams were honored at a wedding shower in the home of Julie and Scott Cumbie, of Edmond. Co-hosts were Kelly and Chris Fry. The engaged couple will be married Feb. 23 in Los Cabos, Mexico. The table centerpiece included tropical plants and flowers including several types of orchids

Valentine’s party: Junior League sustaining members met at an event hosted by Linda Garrett, Matilda Clements and Betsy Berry. The Valentine’s party featured door prizes won by Susie Nelson, SoRelle Fitzgerald, Mary Sims, Penny McCaleb, Sody Clements and Sally Stringer.

Hearts and flowers: An antique red cut to clear glass Bohemian vase held a huge bouquet of red roses as the centerpiece for a table filled with heart cookies, tea sandwiches, chocolate-covered strawberries, valentine candies, mini cupcakes and dips and chips.
More hearts: Party favors were bags of tiny chocolate hearts and red heart paperweights decorated festively in bags covered with hearts and ribbons.

Luncheon: Members of Kappa Alpha Theta were at the Founders Day luncheon at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. It was the 149th year for the group. Oklahoma City Alumnae chapter members were hostesses and honored the sorority’s founders and 50-year Thetas. Chairman of the Founders’ Day event was Alexa Lienhard. Current president of the group is Emily Blake.
Honorees: Fifty-year Thetas featured in a slide program were Christa Schwab Chain, Joann Davies Graham, Bonnie Brown Jump, Cathy Heller Keating, Sally Wilber Leonard, Julie Herzel Richardson, and Patsy Anderson Rogers. Twenty-Five Year Thetas also were recognized.
Award: Kay Lynn Sturm received the Twin Stars Award, given for the first time for alumnae service.
Active members: Highlights of the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University chapters were presented by the chapter presidents.

Luncheon: Members of the William Rives Chapter of Colonial Dames XVIIC met at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. Mary Meritt and Sara Memmott were hostesses.
The program: Cor Westerhoff gave a presentation on “The British Plot for West Point.”
Tables: Tables were decorated in navy blue and white. Lindt truffles set around the silver party decorations. On the menu was almond-crusted chicken, orzo pasta and apple crisp.
