'How to Recognize Impairment' medical marijuana seminar offered
CHICKASHA — Canadian Valley Technology Center will host the third in a series of free medical marijuana educational seminars, entitled “Recognizing Impairment,” on Jan. 31.
Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control spokesman Mark Woodward will be the featured speaker.
The seminar will be from 11 a.m. to noon in the Helen Ward Seminar Center at Canadian Valley Technology Center's Chickasha campus, 1401 Michigan Ave. Business owners, supervisors, teachers and parents are encouraged to attend.
School officials suspect much is still unclear regarding impairment now that the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Act has become law, a news release stated. Seminar topics will cover issues such as how to handle an impaired person properly and signs to look for that someone is attempting to cover up impairment.
