Pantone color report for spring/summer 2019

It’s New York Fashion Week and that always brings a Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report.
Each season the report highlights top colors fashion designers are showing off in their collections for the upcoming season.
For spring/summer 2019, it’s all about colors that are empowering and uplifting.
The mindset reflects our desire to face the future with empowering colors that provide confidence and spirit; colors that are uplifting; joyful hues that lend themselves to playful expressionism and take us down a path of creative and unexpected combinations, Pantone says.
The 12-color palette, along with four classic neutrals, blends high fashion and street style. Vibrant without being overpowering, highlighted shades illustrate our desire for authenticity and our continued need for creativity, and relatable, accessible design, the report says.
And those neutrals? Pantone notes there will always be a need for structure in everyday fashion. This season’s classics work well on their own, but they also serve as a foundation for distinctive color contrasts.
