Robert Henry, writer and inker of the comic "Bad Candy," which he is creating with artist Joe Evans, is making plans for a second issue of the horror comic.

A Kickstarter for the second limited edition of comic is ongoing now, for just a seven-day run. The plan is to debut the second limited edition issue at New World Comic Con  on July 28, the team reports.

Henry is a photographer, artist and Oklahoma native with comic-book credits including the "Rough Cut" comic book series of the 1990s.

"It's a Halloween horror story by Joe Evans and myself," Henry said in a previous interview.

Henry originally concepted the character as an "Inktober" sketch in 2015.

Description from the current Kickstarter:

The story is set in 1982. The Lewis family lives on land that is prosperous and protected by the spirit called Bad Candy. Every day in the harvest month of October Bad Candy needs an offering. If it gets that offering all is well but, if it doesn't, then beware. The Lewis family is good about making sure there are offerings.

Unfortunately, a gang of bank robbers, on the run from their latest heist, take over the Lewis' house.

The offering is not made and Bad Candy awakens!

Be aware, like the 1980s horror movies it homages, Bad Candy isn't for young readers.

"Bad Candy is bloody and violent with nudity and horrible things happening," says the issue description. "You have been warned!"

You can make a pledge to the Kickstarter through Monday, July 2.
